Behavioral patterns in general and those of organizations, must change. There is no longer time to understand, process, think and plan a response to a phenomenon. There is only time to react.

The implication: for each new cycle that begins, the next cycle of action must immediately follow. Organizations that fail to adapt a rapid pattern of action will find themselves trapped in the reaction syndrome, endlessly reacting to disruptions in their environment, a syndrome that can lead to their eventual extinction.
